Thursday Honey
New Band Kids with Dreamy Pop Charm
Remember your high school bands? There’s something undeniably charming about bands that start just for fun during those years and eventually get discovered, continuing their passion and joy in the industry, right?
In this week’s feature on Kolektive, we’re shining the spotlight on another hidden gem—meet Thursday Honey!
Thursday Honey, a seven-member alternative/dream-pop band under O/C Records, is turning heads with their fresh twist on alternative pop. Mixing dreamy melodies with retro-pop vibes, they create catchy soundscapes that take listeners on a groovy adventure!
The band recently dropped “Nothing In Mind,” an eight-track album that captivates listeners with its pulsating rhythms, dreamy vocals, and sweet melodies.
Thursday Honey’s crew brings the magic together with Cholo Villanueva on vocals, Franco Neo Recasata on sax, Luiz Bunani and Jam Reyes on guitars, Matthew Profeta on keys, Franco Capalongan on drums, and Bianca Selda on bass.
In a Facebook post, the band revealed that they started making music in high school just for fun—a way to hang out and be goofy. Little did they know, those jam sessions would eventually lead to the rise of Thursday Honey.
Thursday Honey’s unique sound makes it clear they’re a band we should all be tuning into. Their standout tracks include the hazy shoegaze dream of “720” and the irresistibly catchy groove of “hey, I’m greg.” With its prominent rhythm guitar, “hey, I’m greg” perfectly captures the essence of Thursday Honey’s signature sound.
Thursday Honey’s sound is all about playful vibes and, as we’ve mentioned, those bright, head-bobbing rhythms that are impossible to resist. If that’s your jam, then Thursday Honey is ready to be your new favorite band!
So go ahead, hit play, and let their infectious grooves take you on a sweet ride—you won’t regret it!
